Brindle or Not Brindle ??

Many People confuse Brindle markings with the dun factor, roan, & Sooty/Smutty gene . Below I am compiling a few pictures to show the difference of non-brindle and brindle horses. I would also like to thank the people who sent me pictures to post on my site and also add to my slideshow. (coming soon)

As you can see from the random pictures below, brindle comes in all colors, all patterns from loud markings to minimal to some only having brindle marks only on the hip or barrel. Either way this shows how the brindle is not like the dun factor, roan, & Sooty/Smutty gene as you can see the drippy look on each of these patterns, the lines are NOT uniform and disconnected and more random. These are all different types of brindle patterns that we talk about.
